• Senior year college planning calendar


    Fall
    1. Narrow the selection of colleges you wish to apply to 6-8
    2. Make a calendar to mark the important dates for tests, deadlines for applications for colleges, financial aid and scholarships
    3. Ask for 3 recommendation letters and give each person you ask your resume
    4. Prepare your college essay and ask your teachers to read your first copy
    5. Attend college fairs
    6. Visit college websites
    7. Decide if you want to apply for early decision or early admission for private colleges (November)
    8. Sent your SAT scores to colleges you apply : sat.collegeboard.org/sent-sat-scores
    9. Attend financial aid info events
    10. Do a Scholarship Search
    11. Keep copies of your applications, check your e-mails regularly

    SPRING
    1. January February March apply for financial aid and scholarships
    2. You should receive acceptance letters by April
      Make sure you respond to colleges requests for additional supporting documentation  for the EOP SEEK CD programs
    3. Visit the college of your choice
    4. Make your final choice by May.
